Regenerative Medicine

Text Box: Sepax is the only automated system to offer specific separation protocols for different regenerative medicine applications.

Biosafe’s validated protocols are based on different separation methods, such as nucleated cell component (buffy-coat) concentration, a density gradient
based separation that depletes both stem blood cells and granulocytes as well as volume reduction of aphaeresis product to retain the buffy-coat.

Each protocol is associated with a single-use kit to provide sterile conditions.

Density Gradient Based Separation (DGBS)
Isolation of highly purified mononuclear cell (MNC) component with high red blood and granulocyte cell depletion
by means of a density gradient medium.

Generic Volume Reduction (GVR)
Protocol for concentration of the buffy-coat fraction, mainly conceived for bone
marrow volume reduction.

PBSC
Protocol for concentration of the buffy-coat fraction from aphaeresis product by plasma depletion.

PBSC Washing
Protocol for the removal of cryoprotectant solution from thawed PBSC.
